My leadership team has instilled a level of confidence in my capabilities that has bled over into my personal belief. They treat you like an adult and let you take care of what you need to with minimal micromanagement. Unfortunately corporate and home office occasionally have conflicting information
They definitely have a strong business acumen.
The PTO is generous. I wish there was more done to encourage employees to actually use it though; there is a weird sense of pride about who can collect the most hours. Insurance is at a fair cost and is good coverage. No complaints there.
Everyone works well together and has specialties that contribute to the success of the whole team.
The team tries hard to overcome the short comings of the leadership at the company
Management really seems to make an attempt at caring. You've got something to take care of - go for it. You need PTO - sweet, hand off anything you haven't started and try to clear the important stuff. Need to adjust your schedule because "life" - Cool, let's talk about it and adjust as needed.
Individuals are very pleasant to work with. The corporate leadership/culture is atrocious
It was a conversation. There were the basic "Tell me about yourself," and "What do you feel your strengths and weaknesses are," but after that was out of the way, the real "conversation" happened and we just talked honestly and openly about qualifications, experiences, and expectations.
Meeting the team I would go on to work with in a panel interview was fun and casual.
The offer came very quickly
The freedom and trust to interact with clients even early on in your career. Many times, it's you (the one who's working on the file) who's talking with the client, and it helps since you know the file (probably) better than anyone else.
Honestly right now, not a lot. I guess the lofty idea of being a partner one day is nice, though there is no direct path laid out, so it feels very pie in the sky.
