How are layoffs handled in the Marketing department at Catchpoint Systems?
Top Employee Response
You're called into a conference room, your boss says he has to grab his coffee, he comes back with the HR VP instead to tell you you no longer have a job there. The CEO steps out to have a cigarette rather than face you. You get severance but aren't paid for unused vacation time. You receive information on when your health insurance ends and how you can apply for unemployment. And that's pretty much it. The company's laid off quite a few in the last year or so.
