He is a no talent tool who only cares about his bonus check. He has no vision or leadership abilities

It's a standard corporate work environment.

Management plays favorites. Experience is overlooked in favor of who just got married/bought a house/had a baby. Promotions are not merit based, it's a popularity contest.

Promotions are based on popularity, not ability. It is a struggle to be taken seriously unless you are friends with management, or have just gotten married/bought a house/had a baby.
