CentralSquare Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Company focuses on ensuring we are recognized

Review from Sales Dept

Excellent Medical Benefits, along with 401K employer matching.

Review from Sales Dept

Includes good health insurance package

Review from Customer Support Dept

Comprehensive medical coverage options and dental..

Review from Sales Dept

Salary is fair for my role

Review from Sales Dept

The salary is very competitive

Review from Operations Dept

Great healthcare package through Signa

Review from Sales Dept

Pay is fair, unlimited PTO is great, and the health insurance rates have stayed at a reasonable level throughout the years.

Review from Operations Dept

The starting pay was good and the benefits including open PTO and maternity leave are what had me interested from the beginning.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The thing I like most about my compensation package is that there are a lot of options and flexibility.

Review from Operations Dept

I feel our benefits provide a lot of flexibility & options.

Review from Operations Dept

Health insurance. It pays better than any previous insurance I've had.

Review from Product Dept

The pay is competitive, and the unlimited PTO is such an awesome perk. Not having to worry about how many vacation days I have left in the year is a stress-free item I'm sure many appreciate. And, I don't know any colleague who seems to take advantage of this system.

remote work, unlimited time off

Review from Product Dept

It is an option to have family on the health insurance plan. Thanks!

Review from Customer Support Dept

It seems fair for the expectations and experience I have. The benefits are much less than I had in my prior employment and the vacation is half what I am accustomed to having.

Review from Product Dept

I have unlimited PTO to use

Review from Customer Success Dept

CentralSquare pays market value for their associates and does not make them feel undervalued.

Review from IT Dept

I feel the company saves money by having the unlimited PTO benefit. Thus - they able to to give back to the staff on other things.

Review from Product Dept

The health care plans and 401k

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I have trained new people who make (much) more than I do, eve. I believe that's unfair. Other companies also have a much higher pay range for what I do here (When I say much, I mean 20k a year more). While I am content here at the moment, compensation will be a huge factor in retaining me long term.

We are below market value for salary in most areas for first and second line employees and first line managers. It's a problem that if we don't resolve, we will continue to have a revolving door with top talent leaving the company for competitors or other employment.

Review from Operations Dept

I have been told that I have reached the ceiling for my position and cannot get a change in pay unless accepting a higher position, but the responsibilities have increased with no increase in pay.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Market rate pay would be a start. We used to have pretty decent perks, those are all gone. Now we are underpaid with no special perks and standard benefits. Job security with public sector work is the only "perk" but that exists in other jobs as well.

Review from Engineering Dept

Repeated requests by myself and my manager for a pay increase have been met with little feedback. Canadian employees in general are not paid what we should be. Clearer messaging needs to be communicated to employees so we understand what we can do to get the pay we deserve, with fair pay bands.

Review from Engineering Dept

I would feel better about my compensation if the company would start increasing compensation to match industry standards before all of the good talent leaves for other opportunities

Review from Engineering Dept

More compensation, receiving my bonus when I constantly work with sales on their deals but see no benefit to other than a paycheck.

Review from Engineering Dept

CentralSquare is a cheap company that does not care about its employees. To fix it: restore original PTO system, restore matching 401k on a per paycheck basis, yearly bonuses.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Compensations are pretty low. Also the compensation for an long time existing employee doesn't match with the new hire for the same role. I worked very hard for the past couple of years managing everything on our product, but no recognition compensation wise.Promotions doesn't have much pay increase

Review from Engineering Dept

I feel like I am a bit underpaid for the amount of work in my position and the stress that comes with that added responsibility. Either an increase in base pay, a stipend for internet costs/home office energy consumption/etc, or a mixture of those items would be what I am looking for

Review from Operations Dept

No bonus, poor merit increase system, everything

Review from Customer Support Dept

My siblings make more money than I do working at an ice cream shop and Target. Given my work is a little more expertise driven, the pay could be improved. There seems to be little interest in these positions because the pay is not competitive.

Review from IT Dept

Provide a salary competitive with the market. Underpaid by about 20-40% for my experience depending on sector.

Review from Operations Dept

We are understaffed and overworked. And we are paid below the average for the role. We also have very high UTE expectations and bonuses are hard to hit because on low project hours. Being paid appropriately for the job would help retain the good people and stop all the turmover,

Review from Operations Dept

The company has repeatedly taken away benefits. There used to be free breakfast and lunch but that was taken away. Bonuses have gone down every year with no concern for the employees receiving them. Obvious HR violations remain ignored.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Compensation is on the low end to begin with, then at quarterly all-hands meetings the HR Team talks about how much they've invested in talent. Must only be going to new hires & those getting promoted: they REFUSE to give cost of living increases & it's VERY hard to earn even a 3% annual increase.

Review from Finance Dept

This position tend to start at a high base pay. An adjusted to reflect the market value for my experience and education level would be nice. Student loans aren't cheap!

Review from Finance Dept

I feel that my teammates are payed more than me with little to no more experience than I have other than that they worked with out manager at a different job before coming to work here.

Review from Product Dept

No, I do not feel undervalue.

Review from Finance Dept

I feel that I should have been hired as what I was making while a temp for the company. It was misleading when I left my original job to accept this one when my rate of pay was established.
