Half of them are decent people.
They genuinely care about the Team and growing each individual.
Leadership open to suggestions and very friendly.
Leadership has always had shared decision making which is rare these days!
The leadership team empowers their team members to make actual decisions. It's a real meritocracy. Great ideas can bubble up easily. They are also completely accessible and open to feedback. There are numerous channels for this, and lots of efforts are made to keep them open.
Competitive salary that is adjusted based on merit
Extra perks that other companies don't have
Base salaries are fair and sales compensatation plans are milestone driven.
It's getting much better. Fair comp.
From a startup company, compensation has always been fair and max what it could
Some of the smartest and most intelligent folks I've worked with. Truly a special environment
My team used to have the best developers I ever have worked with in my life. Now it shrank because some good people have been fired or left.
There's a mission driven mentality that's shared for the most part across the company
A mission driven Team that tends to work well with each other as a result.
I really like my team - they really care about their clients. Huge shout out to the HR team too because they keep us all sane and are sorely under-appreciated by our Leadership team. We might as well do without leadership because we're all expected to function without any real guidance anyway.
The ability to chat with anyone to share your thoughts, feelings, and ideas. You can put time on the CEO's calendar just to get coffee.
We have awesome coworkers. The product managers are very attentive to details and provide good specifications to our stories.
Everyone does drink the "Cipher Kool-Aid" and genuinely understands that the company has an impact on millions of patient lives. Team lunches, happy hours, etc., are a big part of the company. Rarely does leadership attend those functions.
Mission driven Team tends to jive well. It’s needed because there’s a lot of work to do.
Collaborative spirit. The team all feels like we're in this muck together and trying to either dig out of it together to see where this company goes or leave entirely. People who do leave remain good friends with the team. I bet its a huge burden lifted off of anyone who gets to leave on their own.
That I spoke with so many different stakeholders, it really helped me get a multi-dimensional view. I also liked the presentation portion as it allowed me to showcase my talents.
It was quick for me. But it depends a lot because there's no formal process to hire.
Being with my coworkers. Seeing the positive impact of our products on our client's operations
My teammates, they are awesome people.
The people I work with
There is a lot of autonomy at Cipher and as long as you're doing well in your role, people stay off your back. The issue with Cipher's autonomy is that it can be too much for some underperformers and Cipher doesn't know how to assist those that are underperforming.
I can do what I love most that are coding and development, and I'm fairly compensated for it. I have a very good relationship with my coworkers and I developed very good friendships here.
