James J. Lapointe — Senior Vice President of Global Operations at CIRCOR International

Mr. James J. Lapointe has been Senior Vice President of Global Operations at CIRCOR International, Inc. since September 2016 and served as its Vice President of Global Operations since March 2015 until September 2016. Mr. Lapointe is responsible for leading operations strategy and continuous improvement for all of the Operations Organizations at Circor International. He served as Senior Vice President of Operations at DRS Defense Solutions, Inc. (DRS Technologies, Defense Systems and Services). He was responsible for providing leadership and direction for all of the Operations Organizations within DRS Defense Solutions. He joined DRS in 2009. Mr. Lapointe is a senior company executive with more than 30 years of manufacturing and aerospace operations/supply chain experience in the global high technology arena. Mr. Lapointe served as Vice President of Global Supply Chain Management for Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, a division of United Technologies Corporation. He was responsible for worldwide supply chain operations and established global sourcing offices in China, India, E. Europe and Mexico among other activities while supporting a $6.5 billion Global Aerospace and Industrial Business. He served as Vice President of Supply Chain and Vice President of Jet Programs at Raytheon Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas, and held positions of increasing responsibility at Raytheon Aircraft Company in Kansas and Raytheon Electronic Systems in Massachusetts. Mr. Lapointe also worked at BTU Engineering and Compugraphic Corporation before 1983. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Merrimack College in 1980 and completed the UTC Executive Program at the University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business.
