There is diversity, but only for compliance reason. You will still be treated poorly and unfairly if you're a minority in certain departments.

As a member of the HR/Talent team, I can answer this directly. If the HR Manager liked you, you could work from home, but if she didn't, for whatever reason, you were not allowed to work from home. Other departments depended on the specifics of the job and manager of the department.

What does the ideal candidate in the HR department look like at CIRCOR International?
The HR team at CIRCOR was a huge disappointment. My manager was never available, another manager wanted to be everyone's manager and micromanage and control everything everyone did. Other members of the HR team were highly disrespectful and would belittle others and undermine them. Same went for the onsite HR Manager, who would say very disrespectful things about employees behind their backs. There were a few HR team members that were great but mostly kept to themselves because 'they didn't want to cause any issues". Meaning they would see a concern, but not address it in fear of being reprimanded for doing the right thing. Senior management within the HR department had no concerns for their employee concerns or candidate experience. They will tell you they do, but in turn, if it doesn't benefit them in some way, they will shut it down. There was constant chaos and disrespect within the HR department.
What kind of interview questions do they ask when hiring someone in the HR department at CIRCOR International?
Pretty standard here with knowledge of HR and Recruiting policies. How one deals with people and high you organize your time and priorities.
How helpful was your HR team when you were first hired at CIRCOR International?
Not very. CIRCOR recently bought out Colfax. I was hired direct by CIRCOR, but my work location was the Colfax branch. However, they were bought out 6 months prior. My manager and corporate HR employees were unresponsive to my questions upon hired, and the onsite old Colfax HR employees were uncertain if I was working under CIRCOR policies or Colfax policies. It took three weeks before I was able to sign up for benefits, and even then the onsite HR department was uncertain which was I was to be signing up under, and my Corporate HR team was unresponsive. In summary, there was an HR team working under the old Colfax ways and an HR team working under the new CIRCOR ways. No one was able to give me the correct direction of exactly what I was supposed to be working under, and when one did, the other would contradict it. The whole time there was a nightmare and I worked directly IN the HR department.
