Prior to that, Ms. Council served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Ross Stores since March 1998. Prior to that, she served as Ross Stores's Vice President of Human Resources, Compensation, Payroll, Distribution and Risk Management/Benefits since August 1997 and as Ross Stores's Vice President, Human Resources of Stores since March 1992. She joined Ross Stores in January 1989 as Director of Management and Organizational Development. She served as Director of Pasta Pomodoro Restaurants from May 2001 to December 2002.
