Jeffrey Shell — Chairman of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group at Comcast

Mr. Jeffrey Shell, also known as Jeff, has been the Chairman of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group of NBCUniversal Media, LLC since September 10, 2013 and also serves as its Director. Mr. Shell has been the President of NBC Universal International since 2011. Mr. Shell served as President of Comcast Programming at Comcast Corporation, since May 2, 2005 to 2011. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Rovi Guides, Inc (Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc) from November 2002 to December 10, 2004 and served as its President until December 10, 2004. From April 2002 to November 2002, he was a Member of the Office of the Chief Executive and served as Co-President and Chief Operating Officer of Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fox Cable Networks Group of Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc. and from April 2000 to April 2002 and as President of Fox Sports Networks Inc. from 1999 to April 2000. He is employed at Fox Entertainment Group, Inc. He joined Fox Television in 1994 as head of new business development and joined Fox Sports Networks as its Chief Financial Officer in 1996. He served in various positions in the Corporate Strategic Planning department of The Walt Disney Company and before that, at the New York investment-banking firm of Salomon Brothers, Inc. Mr. Shell serves as the Chairman of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Inc. He served as Chairman of NBCU International at NBCUniversal Media, LLC since January 2011. He served as the Chairman of the Board at Broadcasting Board of Governors until January 25, 2017 and serves as its Governor. He served as Director of Rovi Guides, Inc. from April 2002 to December 10, 2004. He served as a Director of NBCU International at NBCUniversal Media, LLC. He serves on the boards of the following charitable or educational organizations: EIDC, LASEC and Green Dot Public School. He serves as Member of Advisory Board of Green Dot Public Schools. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Council at GoodSearch, LLC. Mr. Shell holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley and MBA from Harvard University.
