Mr. Kyle E. McSlarrow has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) since March 1, 2005. Mr. McSlarrow has been Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Comcast Corporation since June 2017. He served as Regional Vice President for Washington Region at Comcast Corporation until June 2017. He served as President of Comcast/NBC Universal of Comcast Corporation since April 2011. In this role, Mr. McSlarrow is the cable industry's primary public policy advocate in Washington, D.C., and represents the industry's interests before Congress, the Federal Communications Commission and the Administration. Before Capitol Hill, Mr. McSlarrow was an Associate of Hunton & Williams. He served as Deputy Secretary at U.S. Department of Energy since November 27, 2002, Chief of Staff since January 2001 and also served as its Chief Operating Officer and President's Management Council. Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Mr. McSlarrow served as Vice President of Political and Government Affairs for Grassroots.com. He has held numerous positions in the political arena. In 1997, Mr. McSlarrow joined the office of the late U.S. Senator Paul Coverdell as Chief of Staff. He also served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Counsel for Senate Majority Leaders Bob Dole and Trent Lott from 1995 to 1997. As a Captain in the U.S. Army, he served in the Secretary of the Army's office as Assistant to the General Counsel of the Army from 1985 to 1989. Mr. McSlarrow served as Director of Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. He serves as the American co-chair of the U.S.-Russia Energy Working Group established by President Bush and Putin. He served as the National Chairman for the Quayle 2000 Presidential Campaign from November 1998 to February 2000. He served as a Director of The Advertising Council, Inc. Mr. McSlarrow earned degrees from Cornell University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
