It was over a decade ago. Things have changed.
Getting to meet the team I'd be working with and asking questions.
I like that they took the time to find the right candidates. I do not believe this is the case any longer due to the recent acquisition of our company by Clearlake Capital, as the newer employees and others that work here from outsourced firms are nowhere near the previous standard.
Its been a long time so i cant speak towards this
Practical conversation around real business problems. It just so happened that I did have experience and I could engage with the interviewer. I think that's how interviews should be.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Hire for the problems you need to solve, not according to some general theory of what a good engineer is supposed to be.
