Coveo Solutions Inc. is a market leading AI company, founded in Quebec, QC, Canada in 2005, driven by 725 employees and led by serial entrepreneur Louis Têtu. The Coveo Relevance Cloud is a market-leading AI-powered relevance solution that controls search, recommendations, personalization, self-service and merchandising intelligence to provide great digital experiences for commerce, service, website, and workplace applications for its 625 world-renowned customers across all industries. Coveo has joined industry leaders in signing the 1% pledge while setting its first ESG strategy. As part of its pledge 1%, Coveo announced its first round of donations contributing time, product, profits and capital to support charities focused on learning and growth opportunities, including knowledge-sharing and mentoring, technical access, and financial assistance for young people in vulnerable social groups.
Coveo was founded in 2005 and its current CEO is Louis Têtu. Since its inception 21 years ago, Coveo has grown to 750 employees.
At Coveo, our mission is to accelerate the application of AI platforms in enterprises helping them personalize and profitize every experience. We give companies of all sizes the chance to remain competitive and relevant in their industry with our world-renowned AI SaaS solution.
Our in-office sustainability keeps growing. This means renewable energy in Montreal and Quebec City. Ecological waste reduction and management programs. Recycling batteries and electronics -- even donating refurbished devices to charitable organizations. Moreover, we’ve partnered with Greenly to measure and reduce our carbon footprint significantly in the next five years. We also use environmental criteria when choosing suppliers. This minimizes the effect of energy consumption and waste on our planet.
As a technology company offering digital solutions, we have both a direct and indirect impact on the environment. We care about the planet and people, which is why we pledge to decrease our footprint by adopting sustainable practices through healthy governance and footprint tracking. From our suppliers’ environmental responsibility to our own waste management and cloud operations, we are committed to establishing a complete portrait of our current impact which will be the cornerstone of our environmental strategy moving forward. Concretely, we have deployed strategic measures to help employees do their part in their day to day life such as subsidized monthly transit, renewable energy in office, waste management programs, recycling batteries/electronics and donating refurbished devices to charitable organizations. Over the past year, we have created opportunities for our employees to get involved hands-on in making a difference, amongst them, our employee-driven environment committee has directed funds to Canadian organizations, created volunteering opportunities for employees across the globe and donated previously owned devices to local charities.
At Coveo, we chose the democratization of knowledge and education, environment and diversity and inclusion to be at the center of our 1% Pledge, a global movement that aims to inspire, educate, and empower all companies to leverage their assets for the greater good.
Ever since making this commitment, we’ve put together six different committees to drive our ESG strategy: Environment, Time, Social, Inclusion & Diversity, Wellness and Democratization of Knowledge. All of which are joined on a voluntary basis by employees of different departments and seniority levels, united by the motivation to create a better future. Employees that get involved in these initiatives are given bandwidth to do so in parallel to their regular responsibilities during work hours, without any decrease in compensation. Concretely, each committee is allocated a budget from an executive sponsor and given the autonomy to drive new ideas and projects that have a positive impact on society. We take a lot of pride in knowing the progress made since 2021 is the immediate product of our employees' voices and efforts. Moreover, we are sensitive to the fact that choosing a cause to donate to can be difficult, oftentimes this generous act, might seem limitative to all the other causes close to our heart, which is why we have chosen United Way as the receiving organization of our annual internal philanthropic campaign. United Way Quebec is an organization that supports 250 causes across the province, leaving no one behind. On an annual basis, since 2006, our employees have had a concrete impact in our local community through our internal donation campaign. As doing the right thing and helping others is one of our core values, we encourage employees to donate with a 1:1 match program. This past year we have donated a total of $381,450.78 adding up to a total of $1,701,107.00 since 2006!
