Review from Sales Dept · Posted 11 days ago

Transparency at the monthly meetings; it helps understand where we've been and where we are going. I encourage more communication outside of all hands meetings.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 11 days ago

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Engage with actual rank and file employees and their day to day experience. Based on the executive leadership words and actions, they have no idea what's actually happening inside the company. I've worked here for years now, and I've never met the CEO.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 10 days ago

Suggest Crusoe do better to hold leaders accountable to consistent standards. The loudest person in the room gets what they want while others try to play by the rules and guidelines. It's highly political and they value favorability over competence.

Review from HR Dept · Posted 11 days ago

Connect with rank-and-file employees. Have an open, anonymous Q&A at all-hands. The ways the leaders speak about Crusoe makes me convinced they have no idea what is actually going on inside their company.

Review from Engineering Dept

Listening to employees, promoting quality, promoting good faith

Review from Engineering Dept

They are too worried about degrees, people are advancing with photography degrees while those of us with real experience sit by and watch. They don't listen. They play favorites. My manager doesn't know what she is doing and doesn't manage the team. She is a puppet for another team member.

Review from Product Dept

not bait and switching employees with their comp packages during the hiring process and taking feedback on the direction of the company given market conditions

Review from Finance Dept

Talking and connecting with people outside of the executive leadership teams. The leadership team only spends time with other leaders. Listen to, and meaningfully integrate the perspectives and views of the VP/Director-level leaders. Exec Leadership is off doing their own thing without us.

Review from Engineering Dept

Be accountable to those below you, work with your team members directly to have a better understanding of what day to day tasks look like.

Review from Operations Dept

Helping employees succeed in the job. Rather than worrying about themselves. Actual teach and mentor. Instead of ignoring and treating employees poorly.

Review from Operations Dept

Remove linear management, develop an open-door policy.

Review from Operations Dept

Showing up to do the work with us. It feels like our leadership is totally checked out, and is more invested in photo shoots than actually doing the work of building a company. Having a complete in-office mandate only coming from people with private offices is totally ableist and tone-deaf.

Review from Engineering Dept

trusting employees to do good work, whether a project they are not approving or WFH

Review from Engineering Dept

Spending time with anyone outside the executive team would be a good start.

Review from HR Dept

Respecting their employees and actually asking if forced 5 day a week work in any way improves out productivity or is just a waste of time that will hurt our overall mission.

Review from IT Dept

Communication, True Leadership, Empathy, and Planning.

Review from Operations Dept

I think the leadership team needs to get better at consistency and transparency around workplace expectations. Many of us, myself included, joined Crusoe with the understanding that the company supported a hybrid model that allowed flexibility. That flexibility was not only an attractive part of the

Review from Communications Dept

Leading by example and be open to learning from employees. Understand that the "place where work is performed" is also performed by people, and management is accountable to those people, just as those people are accountable to management.

Review from Operations Dept

Honest messaging and two-way communication with all levels of the org chart. All Hands has turned into what feels like a sales session -- we never talk about hard topics or things that aren't going well. Show up in the office. It is very difficult to find face time with our executive leadership.

Review from Engineering Dept

NO favors , Not for friendship , this is a business , communication as employees , Treat all employees Equally . We referred Friends and Families , but this is a company of Equal Opportunity , but seems to favor friends and who you know.

Review from Operations Dept

Everything that they do they do in the dark. None of the employees are given a choice on the direction they are going. They need to include employees in discussions and communicate with them.
