I had a trying personal situation shortly after being hired. The Manager I had at the time was supportive in ensuring that I had the tools to take care of it, and myself, without having to worry about work. I have witnessed this theme repeated, and as a manager, I can now pay that kindness forward.
What did you like most about the interview process?
She took the time to break the ice, and get me comfortable before asking the pertinent questions.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people I get to work with on a daily basis are amazing. The clients I get to help make it so rewarding.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Most of my medical needs/ prescriptions are not covered under our current plan. It causes financial stress when the cost of living is rising.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people I get to work with. We can joke and have fun while being productive. My DM is also very supportive, and focused on my development needs. Every day has some challenge for me to tackle and keep me engaged.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Both my team in branch, and through the district are very supportive of each other. We all share best practices, and marketing ideas to succeed. When shifts need to be covered, the staff is flexible and ready to assist. There is no "island", no one is alone.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team at this company demonstrates focus on developing and supporting the team who report to them, in order to grow their people and the business. There is no glass ceiling, with the right attitude and work ethic, a person can grow to any position.
