That my contributions are recognized and that I enjoy working with smart/motivated people.

A very strong and well-seasoned leadership team who are mission-oriented and focused on delivering business results.

The DataStax comp package is very competitive against its industry peers. And the US benefits package, especially healthcare, is top notch!

There is much emphasis on everyone being an owner. If you see that something needs to get done, go for it!

The leadership team is very passionate about their work and they trust and respect each team member to get the job done.

I really like the open and transparent culture. And the company goals (and metrics against the goals) are clearly communicated at the weekly all-hands.

I am most happy with the people I work with. We challenge each other to bring our "A" game and to make an impact everyday!

DataStax leadership is very protective of the DataStax Experience (culture). The core values are super important and reflected in our daily work and interactions with others.
What are some of the best things about your team?
DataStax employees are generally collaborative and enjoy working with each other. Execution excellence is key. There is a lot of focus on building a system and employees doing "no look passes."
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
DataStax has a distributed workforce. But there are many tools available for teams to effectively collaborate with each other. And teams are encouraged to gather at HQ at least 2x per year.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am happy at work because I get to accomplish the tasks I've set out to achieve. There is a very strong sense of ownership and getting things done thoughtfully with speed.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Having worked at numerous tech companies in the past, DataStax benefits is the best in the industry. They really care about their employees. The healthcare benefits, unlimited PTO, and WFH accommodations are fantastic!
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The comp package is pretty standard for top performing Silicon Valley companies. The one item that stands out is the great healthcare benefits. But I do wish they offered 401(k) and employee non-profit donation match.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I thought the values interview at the end was spectacular. They select someone outside of your functional area to speak with the candidates and assess whether they will be a cultural fit for the company.
