What's the Product team like at Dealer Spike?
Broken, communication is null. There is no training and you evidently get expose to a customer with not even 35% of knowledge acquisition. Resulting in stress to the representatives, and jeopardizing customer service metrics.
The Production Team is split into 3 main groups that are all very different from each other. Within the 3 groups, there are tons of different personalities and talent levels.
How's the leadership on the Product team at Dealer Spike?
Agravise at meeting monthly quota. Reckless at active listening to their representatives. Small company with huge potential, which triggers favoritism, not base on performance nor seniority of their representatives but how well you befriend your manager/leader.
The production department has various leaders. The Production Manager is incredibly intelligent and fun, but a bit unorganized. If you can adapt quickly (I mean VERY quickly) to constant change, you’ll love it. If you are a creature of habit and expect the structure to be solid and spelled out for you, this will not be the right fit. It also really depends on which department you’re in, within the team. Being comfortable with voicing your ideas/reservations is also a huge advantage.
What's the pay like for Product roles at Dealer Spike?
If you compared your workload/responsibilities your pay rate is scarce. In other words, underpay. impacting new the applicants pushing at often times a 2 to 3 year period to work on a raise and be at a pay rate that is competitive to the market.
That depends on the role within the department, but is usually based on experience. Also, are you referring to the production department or product development?
What interview questions does Dealer Spike ask?
This is entirely dependent upon the department.
Common work experience background. Skills set based questions.
What part of Dealer Spike's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
The client base has expanded rapidly along with the amount of industries. The innovation isn’t always able to keep up.
The company as a whole is growing at a rapid speed evenly.
How's the work life balance at Dealer Spike?
Could have some improvements.
Very good, when you go home you don't have to deal with work. Probably one of the better work life balance companies I've worked at.
How does Dealer Spike make decisions around promotions?
I don't have enough time here yet, to concisely answer this question.
Depends on who you know or date.
What are you most excited about working at Dealer Spike?
The clients and industry are fun. I'm learning a lot and I've developed skills that have opened new possibilities I never even knew existed. I think it all depends on WHAT you're doing within the company. Someone in client solutions will probably have a very different view than a person in production.
I am excited about the growth of the company and where it will be in 5 years.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better at Dealer Spike?
General professionalism / competency of the average person here is low. Turnover is EXTREMELY high. Why bother making friends anymore?
This is not high school and you are replaceable, no matter how amazing you think you are. Also, don't be the type of person who causes unnecessary distractions. This is a workplace. Yes, it's relaxed compared to others, but there still needs to be some level of professionalism among entry level coworkers. The leadership team needs to step up and lead by example in order for entry level associates to know what the expectations are. At the same time, we are all adults and should know how to behave as such.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at Dealer Spike?
Professionalism. Leadership. Compensation. COMMUNICATION...good god this is embarrassing here sometimes. Accountability / transparency.
Provide employees with adequate desk space so it doesn't feel like being in a petri-dish. Allow more flexible hours and work from home.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Dealer Spike?
It can be very difficult if you abide by their requirements. I mentioned earlier the company culture, the lack of skill set in department manager can play a major role in the outcome.
How do you feel about going to work at Dealer Spike everyday?
Stress and afraid; the turnover is outrageous never seen such turnover on a previous company at a higher disadvantage with such turn over rate.
What do people at Dealer Spike think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
I just wish he was more approachable. If he would get to know some of the employees, he might understand the numbers differently. You cannot have a purely numbers-driven approach to this business. It will cause employees to burn out quickly.
What are the team outings like at Dealer Spike?
It’s different among the departments. Some groups do a lot of lunches or Starbucks walks. Others have after hours pizza parties. Sometimes there are game nights.
