Here, we are medium sized company and I find that to be one of the best models. I've been in 1000+ employees plants where I hardly knew people I worked with. I've been in small family businesses where it was too hectic to work. Medium size allows me to get to know people while maintaining good pace.

We really do believe in team work. People don't get blamed for mistakes as long as they learn from them. We win and lose together so the functions really do work together.

The answer is still accountability for your bad apples. Stop holding everyone accountable for your bad apples and just get the terrible employees better or replace them. Otherwise, veterans like me, with 15-20 yrs experience will continue to test the waters elsewhere. It just hurts the company
