Durham School Services Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Insurance rates are too high for even one person

We have some compensation compared to the previous years

401k is a good employee benefit

the best part was that when you are on vacation you get to be paid

Review from Operations Dept

I don't get one that i know off

That we get Insurance benefits

Not worth it at all

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Yes the supervisor should Show a little respect with every single people

Better pay we don't work enough hours to afford food, bills & gas to get back and fourth to work.

Review from Operations Dept

the company is getting there , we actually getting a increase I will take it back but we coming alone

They don't appreciate the drivers, severely underpaid for what we do.

Don't know anything about it

Disrespected by the whole office and union steward

Health benefits that are decently priced.

We don't get shown any appreciation for the employees that stuck it out with them through the covid19 pandemic. We get paid less than a person who gets hired on at Mcdonald's, we had to train and test for a skilled license for our jobs. We don't make a livable wage especially if you have kids.

As a monster I feel as if I should be paid equal to the drivers. Or even qualify for a non cdl sign on bonus. I am the one who is more hands on with the children that need me. It would feel nicer if a moniter was given more value for their job, without them there would be complete chaos...

Review from Operations Dept

We used to get snowdays and attendance bonuses all of these benefits have been taken away, i have worked as a monitor for 10years and was promised a $2 raise and did not recieve it!

Being paid better. I see in the paper daily jobs hiring at $28.00-$32.00. We make $21. No bonuses and I know of many people that are or have left because of it. If you want to retain employees pay a fair wage. We have ALOT of responsibility and put up with alot... sometimes it isnt worth it.

After 16 years I am only making what other companys are paying new hires

Give us all a pay hike and not just 24 cents

Offer better health insurance options

I do not feel undervalued...just want higher pay.

It's alot of work dealing with kids that are out of control so a little more money will make a person want to do their job.
