How do I do well in an interview at DXC Technology?
willingness to work for peanuts
Manage to speak your own name
Personality and culture fit will likely be most important to you in the long run. I recommend being yourself - be honest, and be clear. Be prepared - know your goals, strengths and weaknesses. Have questions for the interviewer about the office culture and expectations. There are things you want to know - like how the position contributes to the success of the company or what challenges one might face in the position. What qualities will make an employee in this position successful or unsuccessful? You want to know if the position is a good fit for you, and you can also use their answers to explain why you are a good fit for the position and team.
What's the office layout like at DXC Technology?
Be happy if you have any office to go to
open. no offices. rows of tables and monitors. it is noisy and impossible to concentrate.
Almost every account is separated into its own room, and every room requires you to badge into it.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at DXC Technology?
fire the CEO, COO, HR VP and start over
Fire ALL THE EXECUTIVES and place some real value back into the hands of the technologists that do all the work.
I would have more breaks (scheduled, or maybe optional) for the Service Desk employees, or maybe have food catered more often. I'd bring back the annual Customer Service Week celebration, too.
Are there any more reduction programs going on ?
The answer to this is YES and will ALWAYS be YES. Every quarter there are reductions.
Always!
How long does it take to hear back after applying to DXC Technology?
forever, they are doing staff reductions not hiring
Fairly quickly, since the constant drain of people quitting leave plenty of openings.
How long after an interview at DXC Technology does it take to hear back?
if your good, you wont. if your cheap, your hired on the spot
Reasonably quickly. With all the people quitting there is a constant need for fresh meat.
How are the healthcare options at DXC Technology?
Extensive and unbelievably expensive. If you can get healthcare ANYWHERE else, it's probably cheaper.
Expensive
What are the most important soft skills I need to be successful at DXC Technology?
A polished resume so you can leave quickly.
Learning to deal with unhappy, unmotivated, emotionally beaten people who used to be happier before the company became DXC. Every time Lawrie or your executives hold an all-hands meeting, the cycle of depression starts all over again.
How are the vision insurance options at DXC Technology?
The vision plan is akin to getting a coupon for 5-10% off in a ValPak flyer. I did the math.
Ok but pricey.
What is the best perk or benefit that DXC Technology offers?
They don't fight too hard to keep you once you decide to quit.
I can't think of one. Maybe that they tout that they used to be CSC, and HPE Enterprise Services (f.k.a EDS, f.k.a Perot systems). Those companies and cultures are long gone from the company structure and DXC is slowly replacing all the people too.
What was the most difficult question that was asked during your interview at DXC Technology?
Why do you want to work here? .. which is really a warning, or a legitimate question from the interviewers. They have no idea why you would want to work at DXC? They're trying to help you using coded language.
The most difficult was to help the interviewer to understand the question sheet
How long do the interviews usually take at DXC Technology?
Anything more than a minute is too long. Would you apply to work at a prison? I didn't think so..
It depends - how much the interviewers know.
How much diversity is there among employees at DXC Technology?
They hire globally in the quest to find the cheapest labor in the world
really diverse. they shifting all the work to india, mexico, etc. so you will interact with all kinds of ethnicities. Some are even fluent in english.
How are layoffs handled in the Business Development department at DXC Technology?
Very poor treatment to the employees who were laid off. They even don't wait till the month end, would call the employee on any date of the month and let him/her know that it is his/her last working day and salary for this month would be given to that particular date only. As they don't give any chance to employees even to submit proof regarding income tax saving, finally the poor employee has to pay huge income tax unnecessarily. Terrible culture - the manager/HR people would chase you in every hour enquiring if the company assets have been returned or not as if you are running away doing a crime. Horrible.
Like all layoffs by the company, poorly and without any regard for the employee. You can be a 1 year employee or have 20 years tenure, you're treated the same, pay you what they owe you to date and tell you to hit the road.
What's the vibe like in the IT dept at DXC Technology? How many hours are you working?
I worked 50 to 60 hours a week and was oncall 24x7 I was paid below market for my skills and asked to leave so they could get get someone from a third world country that had remedial skills
5 to 10 hours of unpaid overtime At DXC your career growth is in unpaid leave and unpaid overtime, and managements mantra is for the employees to: Do more for Les pay

Unpaid leave Unpaid overtime
I wish I'd known that the only pay-raise I'd ever get was when I converted from Contractor to FTE.
What are the differences between maternity and paternity leave at DXC Technology?
None. Neither are offered. If you want maternity leave, you need to use disability leave.
How often do employees get raises at DXC Technology?
Never. "Progressive companies have abandoned the idea of yearly hikes" is the official line. It's all merit based. I pushed, with the support of my manager, his manager AND the division manager to get a merit increase, and it was denied. It's easier and less stressful to set aside any expectations of compensation increases.
What interview questions does DXC Technology ask?
The interview person was totally without understanding of it

No, stay away from this company, very negative morale, terrible incentive compensation plans, lack of ability to deliver on sold deals

Closing deals every quarter
In your opinion, what are the most common interview questions that DXC Technology asks?
Will you give your life to the company. BecUse that is their expectation
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at DXC Technology?
I interviewed on the CSC side before the merger. The interview was short, and they didn't offer much information about the position, even though I asked. They acknowledged that I was overqualified for the position. I was willing to take it because I really needed a job at the time, but I expressed it as a good opportunity to learn the business from the ground floor.
How's the leadership on the IT team at DXC Technology?
horrible
