Communication
Really good people at the colleague level. Senior Mgmt is a problem, in the US we have strong leaders but they are not couragous and the President does not deal with the issues on his team. The German Senior Leaders are out of touch and only work in their best interests.
Horrible management. The R & D leadership is severely lacking. Get rid of groups like SBO and focus on the science and the patients.
EMD has a toxic environment especially at my department where recognition is actively discouraged and everyone works for themselves. It is a silo mentality at least within the department. Very poor leadership, especially mid-level managers and VP/Senior VP levels focused in process and not results.
