I think that employees should be rated and paid according to their value and skill not their employment status. Also, PRN employees should be eligible for some incentives if they work for them and deserve them. For example the the RNT1 RNT 2 or RN 1 RN 2 tiers.
I liked that my DON asked me questions pertaining to my job description such as what is a sign of stroke and if their bp is low what do you do. Also enjoyed being able to shadow prior to orientation to ensure that it would be a good fit.
