I like my team, I love my job, and I think EnsembleIQ is a good overall company. But there are many improvements that can be made and I see a lot of lazy people in our organization who don't follow through or lack the skills needed for their position.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I have a job and work hard to keep that job. But I'm never quite sure if my job is secure or not. I receive occasional feedback that is very general. And I'm afraid if I received a good raise, I would become expendable and replaced by a younger, less talented person for less money.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Learning new ideas and strategies.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I think we have a great CEO and additional executives that have progressive ideas.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Too many meltdowns and pieces of management that are too far removed or don't care.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Forward-thinking, new ideas, shared resources, and generally, there are some very friendly, nice people at EIQ.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some members of my team work very, very hard and that is very admirable. They know that their efforts will result in the success of the team and the company.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
A raise, matching 401K, better education programs to grow my career, a manager that actually cares about my career and not just his own. Also, a manager who is emotionally balanced.
What makes you most happy at work?
Writing content, solidifying and growing relationships with customers both old and new - seeing that relationships I have built and nurtured have turned into very good sales for others in the organization.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some of my team cares and works very hard. They also share new ideas for revenue-generating projects. Others are lazy or way over their head and don't come close to pulling their own wait or drawing a paycheck. Babysitting.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Provide bigger and better raises along with actual bonuses. The amount of work that goes into this job, once broken down by hours and projects spent, is equivalent to getting a job in a warehouse of fast food location.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have received one moderate raise in roughly three years that does not come close to matching the cost of living. I work hard everyday and night, work through vacations, bring my A game to the table every day, but I see others who are slacking, don't care about our success.
