Asked to all employees at Evariant

  • Pretty laid back. It's hard to make friends outside of your own department. People in different departments rarely interact if they don't work with you directly. It's hard to get someone to say Hi or Bye to you when you come in or leave even if you initiate. There are people who certainly are different from the majority but it becomes discouraging after the first few months of trying to make friends. The company tries to put things together to resolve this but the ideas they come up with feel like ideas they got out of a TV show. There's no real thought put into who actually works there, their interests, and what the employees would actually consider fun. Once you get to know them you realize you're surrounded by some awesome people. Everyone is unique and each person is contributing to our collective success. I can only imagine how much more fun it would be if it had more comraderie. Everyone is under pressure to meet crazy deadlines all the time so it's hard.
