Berkley Smith — President of Strategic Alliances at Evolent Health

Mr. Berkley Smith, also known as Berk, has been the President of Strategic Alliances at Evolent Health, Inc., since 2014. Mr. Smith leads efforts to launch and optimize provider-owned health plans on behalf of Evolent Health's partners. He also participates in product design and development, pricing and deal structure decisions. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Accelion. He has 30 years of experience building and leading organizations to deliver outsourcing, consulting, managed services and technology-based solutions to the healthcare industry. He holds significant experience in operations, administration, sales, marketing, mergers and acquisitions for payer, provider and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to Accelion, Mr. Smith served as the President of Healthcare and Life Sciences Services Group at Dell where his team built the number one ranked healthcare technology and business process solutions organization. Under his leadership, Accelion developed leading edge processes, methodologies, and technology to maximize health systems' ability to deliver high quality care while gaining capabilities to participate in new population health based models. He previously led the Healthcare Solutions Group at Perot Systems, creating industry leading clinical solutions and consulting teams supporting growing trends in electronic health records and evidence based medicine. He also ran business development for Perot systems Healthcare group, where he was responsible for the development and delivery of contracts. As the Founder of Perot Systems Healthcare Division (acquired by Dell in 2011), he played a key role in building a $3B global leader in healthcare services. Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Science in Business and Computer Science from the University of Kansas.
