Farmers Insurance Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Annual bonus if you are qualified.

salary and health benefits are best

competitive base salary and annual bonus

Review from Sales Dept

401K match up to 6% plus an automatic 4% each year.

Salary is competitive for the marketplace.

Review from Operations Dept

401k is good. Insurance is not good.

My effort determines how much I make.

I have a partially grandfathered in pension.

Review from Operations Dept

Competitive to market with good benefits.

Review from IT Dept

Generous PTO and great health insurance

Review from Operations Dept

The 401 k matching program is amazing

Review from Customer Support Dept

STIP Bonus and 401k matching.

Review from Operations Dept

Great 401k match and annual bonus!

The retirement and health benefits are the best

Review from HR Dept

There are a variety of health care plans available.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The flex spending for medical, however, they require receipts for everything. I hate that part, my husband never has to provide receipts for his, he works for another company.

Review from Customer Support Dept

PTO is the best; first time I've been able to take time off as a lawyer and not dread coming back to work!

Review from Legal Dept

Farmers' compensation package encompasses salary, bonus, benefits, retirement, tuition assistance, etc. The list is long and continues to grow!

Review from HR Dept

the pay and bonus structure compensate the area i live in.

Great health coverage options. Also better 401k match than other similar companies.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Health insurance leaves a lot to be desired

Farmers' continuous decrease of commissions and removal of product make this insurer (who had the capacity to purchase non-admitted carriers replacing the cancellations and would have at a minimum contributed to surplus 300-400% as supported in the current market) a leader in inferiority.

Review from Operations Dept

I am vastly underpaid for my experience and my ddegree. My team is vastly underpaid for the workload we are given.

Customer Care Reps are in the frontline of fire enduring and forced to be verbally abused that causes stress and anxiety, I believe we should be compensated for that, and be heard when it comes to complaining about the leadership team.

There's absolutely no strategy for marketing or the website. Suggestions were provided based on data, yet no changes, no digital strategy at all. They have done the same thing for over the 6 years working there, no significant changes to gain new audience, revenue or leads.

Review from Marketing Dept

Fair increases for the entire org.

Review from IT Dept

Cut out the mid kevel jobs and pay Agents more on premiums and better goals and incentives that don't recolve around life policies.

Review from Operations Dept

A salary that is appropriate for my cost of living

Review from IT Dept

It is a stressful job, taking first notice of loss calls is comparable to a 911 operator.

I wish we were offered beneifit as this is another expense for my family

Review from Customer Support Dept

Better health insurance for agents

Review from Sales Dept

I am paid less than white male peers who have no direct reports and do less work by volume and complexity.

They expect ALOT from people

Review from Customer Support Dept

The company makes huge profits by denying claims and they pay their employees poorly.

Review from Operations Dept

Reinstate the full commissions. Have a true Profitably bonus without any added production requirements. If you want to provide an additional bonus to those agencies that jump through all your hoops, do so. But reward ALL profitable agencies. Even 1-2% is better than the kick in the shins.

Review from Sales Dept

I receive minimal yearly increases

Review from Operations Dept

I don't get commissions on my sales

Cut in commissions to agency force

Review from Sales Dept

Terrible supervisors in Ca Bay Area make it not worth working here

Review from Customer Support Dept

I am in need of a raise. I've outperformed expectation.
