Farmers Insurance Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Some coworkers, only positive thing

Coworkers are supportive of one another.

Review from HR Dept

Benefits are the only thing that is good.

The inidividual contributors are what makes working here feasible

supportive leadership, clear goals, healthy work life balance

Review from Sales Dept

I have been both virtual and in office in my career. Farmers actively tries to make both work location types engaging and impactful.

Me . . . I as an agent work productively, take care of my clients and assist them in all ways possible. Yes, that is what I should be doing, but with no front office assistance and leadership that continues to get paid outrageous sums . .

Review from Operations Dept

There are lots of training opportunities.

Review from Operations Dept

A team approach. We really are all in it together

Some of the teammates. The way we try to be of support for one another even when facing multiple work related stress, and provided no support from leadership. Some of us are closer than family.

WORKING FROM HOME WAS GREAT

Review from Admin Dept

There is little positivity to talk about since the new CEO took over Farmers. Very disgusted with the way he has treated his employees.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Employees can come together to discuss their opinions on change.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Teamwork is a big part of my group, which creates a positive culture. The company is dedicated to diversity and inclusion.

I have autonomy in my position and a flexible work schedule

We are very inclusive to all communities.

Review from Admin Dept

I dont have to deal with corporate

Review from Operations Dept

Lots of different backgrounds and culture, so you learn from many people and experiences. We are all hard worker, but the environment is fun when it needs to be.

Review from IT Dept

They excel at employee engagement while we work remotely.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Collegial environment, diverse, and supportive.

Review from Legal Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

They need to recognize good employees and promote within. The entire marketing department is bureaucratic; they are more concerned about things like "Quarter Cup" involvement over actual worked and quality of work produced.

Review from Marketing Dept

Communication. Honesty. Kindness. Humility. Integrity

Review from Customer Success Dept

Actually listen to your employees. Take action from the survey you require us to complete but do absolutely nothing about. You love to hear praise, but do absolutely nothing to make this company a good company to work for.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Restructuring of the chain of command and agent support.

Review from Sales Dept

Increased mentorship of employees from underrepresented groups to ensure a pipeline of diverse talent is considered at every level in succession planning. Dismantle obsession with hierarchical structure so that anyone can ask anyone for help without requiring their manager's intervention.

Again, communication, patience and understanding

Review from Customer Support Dept

Less focus on profit margins and more focus on customers

Review from Operations Dept

The supervisors need to show less favortism

Review from Operations Dept

New leadership at top that deals with financial metrics

they need to have better managers and time sense

Review from IT Dept

Managers need to learn how to help not threaten

Review from Customer Support Dept

Culture is going downhill

Review from Operations Dept

Bring back pay and benefits. Make expectations realistic. Provide work/life balance. Make promotions less political.
