The job is very productive, fun and fast paced. The more that's done in a shift the better your production will be. When I was a package handler, I did mostly four trucks a day on a slow day. It's real easy to get up to advancement if you're willing to show commitment and have a great relationship with your managers.

If you want to promote from p/t to full, it goes by a point system. The most points, and usually the most seniority will get the position. If you are trying to join Management, you take a class, then you get a project. After that you have peer assessments. You then interview for the position.

If your an hourly employee it’s fine. But if your a manager there is no life balance. Your expected to be on call 24/7 and respond to emails at all times. Even when on vacation.

It's part time so you spend more time at home than work, unless it's Christmas season and you spend almost full time hours at work for a part time job
