I enjoy working for the company itself but the last couple of managers leaves something to be desired.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Keeping an open mind. I know leaders are there to lead and have their own idea or system for managing others. However the manager I have now is so close minded she does not care about any suggestions or ideas for her team and our team has a wealth of experience.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Well some of us work remotely and some work at a central office. So there is little personal interaction. That being said training for the staff would be nice. Half our team is super experienced and half is fairly new however there is little training for the new members of the team.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

First I would stop the micro managing the let the team get the work out. A manager who interferes too much causes counter production instead of actual production. And stability would be nice. I have had 5 managers in like 6 years so the way things are done changes rapidly in our group.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Since I work remotely I do not have any major workplace issues. However the manager I have now sets a new definition of micro manager. I have to account for every second of the day and you know we are all adults here. I do not need someone to hold my hand every minute of the day.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I have been with the company quite a long time but never get to share in any type of bonus. All the workers around me at Christmas time are happy to get a bonus but our group never gets one. Also the 401K match is poor. I mean this year it is going up to a 4% match if we meet profit goals.
