Out of 823 Fiserv employee reviews, 89% were positive. The remaining 11% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Fiserv improve their work culture. The HR team, with 100% positive reviews, reports the best experience at Fiserv compared to all other departments at the company. The Customer Support team offered the most constructive feedback, with 63% of that department's reviews constructive in nature.
Change communication and flexibility are areas where Fiserv seems to be lagging behind. There has been a lot of change in the organization and we often hear of fairly major change by chance. The fixation with office/location-based work is also not befitting a tech innovator.
Review from Marketing Dept
Consideration of employees over constantly changing everything to be more complex and less efficient.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Adjusting to current changes in the job market (e.g. work from home) and pay their employees more instead of investing in a ton of benefits that no one really uses. Better 401k matching. More focus on reducing technical debt.
Review from Engineering Dept
Empower its leaders. We are 300, not 1.
Review from Operations Dept
Stop micro managing, relocating is not an option to many.
Review from Operations Dept
Higher salary and cash compensation versus majority equity
Review from Sales Dept
not market competitive. felt good when i started (5yrs ago) and growth since then hasnt kept up with the market pace.
Review from Product Dept
I have recently taken on a significantly larger amount of responsibility and received no compensation for the additional work. I am disappointed in this and have talked to my leaders. I do believe my leader is working to fight for this.
Review from Product Dept
I have many more skills than I am allowed to use.
Review from Customer Support Dept
I'd much prefer to get paid more and not have as many benefits that don't serve me
Review from Engineering Dept
Be kinder to one another and more considerate.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Listen, understand other viewpoints, stop dropping the Frank bomb
Review from Operations Dept
too many silos, businesses out for themselves and not for the firm overall, Omaha assets in particular.. think they are the only employees in the company.
Review from Operations Dept
improve our pay . stop asking us to do more
Review from IT Dept
Very few coworkers will not help you. Coworkers from other business units are always looking to "pass the buck". Again, the cancer starts with management.
Review from Sales Dept
LISTEN to associates AND clients , truly empower leaders, pay attention to those you dontbhear from and create a safer place for opinions that may differ from our CEO
Review from Operations Dept
(1) Replace a large percentage of leaders including first-line managers. (2) Change company culture at the top and allow your vision to trickle down. (3) Stop promoting brown-nosers or people that meet a statistic.
Review from Sales Dept
Focus on employees and customers. Right now ots all about shareholders.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Recognize the company is successful, and communicate/treat the staff that way. Stock price has been terrific. Stop treating the place like a suffering startup. Reinstate benefits. Empower middle management.
Review from Executive Dept
Middle management consistently reports results in a very positive manner which is inconsistent with reality.
Review from Finance Dept
Streamline your process. New hires are all contractors that get paid for nothing while they wait three months for a laptop after their start date.
Review from IT Dept
Make a decision within a reasonable amount of time. It took you 3 months to decide to hire me and it has taken almost 9 months for upper management to decide to convert a contractor.
Review from IT Dept
Take HR out besides passing info along. Let the hiring manager see all that they want to interview and let them do the communication. Recruiters simply don't know specifics and often slow down or clog up the process. Multiple recruiters for one interview is also not needed.
There seems to be a lot of anxiety and tension and fear of "messing up" and that creates paralysis that I think adversely impacts performance.
Review from Business Development Dept
Inconsistent application of "rules" from manager to manager
Review from Customer Support Dept
More focus on reducing technical debt and other process improvements. More focused directives from leadership (both within and above my business unit)
Review from Engineering Dept
We have reduced our staffing too deeply and it clearly is negatively impacting our clients. Look at the data.
Review from Operations Dept
No work from home as before
