GameStop Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Games, collectibles, and geeky environment

We all embraced diversity. It was amazing to interact with all different walks of life, and even give them a safe place. I had lots of regulars because of this opportunity.

The people who work there love video games, its fun to go in and work with someone who shares same interests but theres never enough hours to allow extra coverage so getting to know your coworker is just about a thing of the past

My team minus our manager. When she's not there everything runs smoothly and no one is stressed out at all. People come in and we all get to share our collective interests and be among like-minded people.

My co workers and our teams

The only positive aspect of gamestop is the corporate is listening and understands what's happening and is transparent on which there next steps will be it will just take time

People generally like working in a gaming store but the daily shit we have to do is so much closer to working in a warehouse

Review from Sales Dept

Comfortable and humorous conversations and interactions with our guests and each other

The relaxed dress code, you can have different hair colors, piercings and tattoos and don't have to worry about covering them. You don't have to wear makeup and your hair can be natural. Friendships you make here are long lasting. Most bosses are pretty decent and some are incredible.

Stop worry about out of date metrics

Everyone is friends with each other

Review from Customer Support Dept

Review from Sales Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Better communication, less directive focus on statistics and more towards sales. Equal shift coverage

If the company would stop ripping off consumers

Review from Sales Dept

company culture could be improved with maybe some respect

Review from Sales Dept

Everything I need to completely rework the company new leadership

Review from Marketing Dept

lift people up, we are doing a good job and treating customers great. Management treats us like we are the worst employees ever

Review from Sales Dept

Mediocre pay considering how much they expect from employees. Always jumping from one fire to the next.

Review from Product Dept

They are trying to force employees to sell certain merchandise even if a customer expresses interest in a different product.

Review from Sales Dept

Less trying to get one on over customers and more being fair to people.

Review from Sales Dept

More of an employee focus
