Giant Eagle Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Medical and severance vacation and yearly increase

Our prescription insurance is fantastic

healthcare dental vision are good

In my position, which is non-union. Starting wage could be a little higher. But, you receive raises, which can bring it up substantially

Review from Sales Dept

Really good benefits and scheduled

Health benefits are pretty decent

Excited with raises for the company

Unlimited PTO for engineering was introduced recently

the health insurance is good, but the job insurance is even better. its almost impossible to fire anyone, so the people who are bringing the company and team down stay hurting the culture and effectiveness of the team

The medical coverage is fairly adequate so far.

Get payed every week and have no co pay

The benefits are the best part

Coverage offers several different plans

Compensation package is best for all

The pay is above average.

I don't take anything as I'm on social security.

The 401k and benefits and medical

I when they pay into to it also

Unlimited vacation by manager approval

Great pension fund for retirees.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

have not had a raise since I got here 2 years ago

Barely paid enough for bills, "benefits" end up costing more than just working less hours and getting state insurance, and they pressure employees to come in when they are sick.

A better organization to work for

I would like to be paid what I am worth, my experience should count, and people with riskier jobs should have a little incentive to do their job

I'm full time grocery clerk. I only get medical- not dental and eye care like other full timers do. I also only get part time contributions to my pension. I want the benefits that all full timers get. I also and only making 14 dollars an hour being at giant eagle 17 years. New hires almost make same

Review from Customer Success Dept

I have recently earned my bachelor's degree and I am working on my masters degree and wondered if pay rate would change but have received no response. For once I would love to asked to the office for something good.

I do a lot of work in my department, but they don't care about performance, just image. I often feel as if I'm doing other employees' jobs on top of mine.

To be paid An adequate reasonable living wage instead of having to work 6 and 7 days a week Just to make ends meet

Better pay for people who have been there. People you have been there for 4 years make just as much as the new hires now

Stop promoting or hiring your favorite people.

After 9 years with the company i make $1.50 more than a new hire

If we were paid better pay is very low for leaders

Raise the wages to be competitive to other business. I would like to see the executives work at one of the giant eagles for a week, to really see how we are treated, stop giving customers that complain gift cards, stand up for the employees

everywhere else they make $15/hour.

Review from Operations Dept

I need to be compensated for lost wages from the job I didn't take.

Everyone is making more than I am including teenagers at McDonald's. I do the work of 3 people and was told no when I asked for an increase. But there are co-workers who do the bare minimum who make a lot more than I do.

Review from Customer Support Dept

My job is very physically taxing, and to boot we're given more and more things to do with less staff as time goes on. Way more is expected of you than $9 per hour is worth. Surrounding businesses pay several more $ per hour than this one.

The company needs to increase pay for certain departments due to those ones being more difficult. They can’t find people for certain departments due to the low pay and what is all expected in that departme

Employees need to be supported by Abusive customers

Continuously feel like I am not able to meet up to the task at hand.
