Goodyear Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Honestly if not for the union would be a lot lower

above average market in my country

Affordable medical coverage/ goodyear stock option in 401k

Medical aid at retirement helps

Review from Operations Dept

401K- retirement benefits and insurance

Pays above industry and great benefits

Salary is ok, could be better.

Paid time off, available sick & personal days. Unused vacation days roll over. 401 K & Stock options too.

Review from Operations Dept

The pay and benefits, vacation

The benefits are top notch and the pay is equivalent

Option to buy additional holiday and pension scheme.

Review from Operations Dept

Health car is fair cost

Review from Sales Dept

Review from Marketing Dept

Review from Sales Dept

Review from Product Dept

Review from Engineering Dept

Review from Operations Dept

Medical, vision and dental insurance

Review from Product Dept

Price amount is very important

Recreation package for me and the family

Review from Product Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

my compensation has gotten better over the last 4 years here. however that is only because i get paid for overtime now. just off base salary i feel i am very underpaid considering i spend more time here than i do with my family and i sacrifice so much for the sake of the goodyear tire brand

Underpaid compared to other shops

Better pay and equal benefits for all employees. Managment is just sitting around and gets paid just to sit down all day .

Review from Operations Dept

Salary scales aren’t reviewed very oft

Being an experienced service technician the pay is still where i started

Didn't offer bonus. Every other company has bonus for lower levels. Rarely recognized for taking on additional work and tasks.

Yes, very undervalued, lowest of the totem pole

They pay in the 80% range, but that is a really wide range, lots of places pay way more for the same work.

Review from Engineering Dept

A raise would be nice

Review from Operations Dept

The way associates are treated at store levels is humiliating and half way unethical.

Review from Sales Dept

In my area the going rate for what I do is 3 to 4 dollars more and hour, I am not paid commission or any other type of compensation other than my low hourly wage..which makes all employees not want to try any harder. They offer no perks or incentives for employees to even think about going above.

Review from Sales Dept

Required to do multiple jobs without fair compensation. Poor performance rating process. Hours put in over results achieved is what's rewarded. Loyalty over efforts is preferred. College degrees required for jobs but many department heads don't meet this requirement.

I worked for Cargill before coming to Goodyear!! Cargill is the largest privately owned company in the world!!! The most innovative, diverse and moving forward. Goodyear Gadsden is still in the eighties at the best!!!! Akron give them a wake up call!!!!!!!

Review from Engineering Dept

More money should be offered for higher tiered positions. I feel as though the brain power associated for the job or career should reflect properly via pay scale or salary.

Review from Sales Dept

get rid of the quarterly PRP. It's just another way of cutting how much we as employees get as a bonus. End of the year we are always above goal

Review from Product Dept

Haven't had a wage or cost of living increase in years but top executives receive them yearly

Review from Operations Dept

Goodyear tire and rubber company cares for nobody. Look at there safety record. Enough said

Review from Product Dept

My experience with Goodyear rubber company is, there is no hey good job. You are doing good, keep up the good work. Nothing for Thanksgiving. And no company Christmas party. Not even a Christmas card or anything saying thanks for are hard work. This goes for commercial side of Goodyear.

Review from Operations Dept

it would be great if we weren't required to use 60 hours of our vacation time when the company decides we need to use it

Review from Product Dept

Froze pensions. Not contributing to 401k anymore
