New Plant Manager is top notch but can only do so much before getting put back i to his place if not making quotas

Comunication with all team members
Change the culture. Be fair. End the good old boy club. Hire based on skill, qualifications and ability not relationships and comfort.
Coming to the floor and asking operator what they could do to make our jobs better and more efficient.
Everything. They cant schedule or do pay roll
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Honestly if not for the union would be a lot lower

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
my compensation has gotten better over the last 4 years here. however that is only because i get paid for overtime now. just off base salary i feel i am very underpaid considering i spend more time here than i do with my family and i sacrifice so much for the sake of the goodyear tire brand

Like a 2nd family as much time as people spend working there
we get to all were thongs on Mondays

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There is still a big amount of employees who have been there for a really long time and love the company. The are often the guides and real leaders that keep things running without a title. Its really something extraordinary when you work with them
they let us do a team hug session at the end of each day
The people who are happy and work hard make up for the negativity in the environment
I have great freedom, under responsibility
The workers on the floor are the only thing keeping the plant running

get organized, focus on the small things before they become a problem

The entire philosophy starting with corporate to floor supervision.
Better and more services advertising and lower the service rates . Every city and state is different from all. Not every city gets paid like a big city pay rate in our area everage from 9.50 to 12.50 hr. Sou lot of people just barely make it to pay rent food and utilitys.

They interview profiles that fit the culture more than their skills
When i hired all you need was a heartbeat and getting worse now with the newer generations now
the persons that interviewed me seem very professional and empathetic

Make paper applications available, not everything needs to be online, and have more than just a manager interview you..have the DM involved.
