Dr. W. Stan Meyer has been the Chief Operating Officer at Grand Canyon Education, Inc. since July 26, 2012. Mr. Meyer served as Executive Vice President of Grand Canyon Education, Inc. from June 2008 to July 2012. From August 2002 to June 2008, He served at Apollo Group, Inc., a for-profit, postsecondary education company and the parent company of the University of Phoenix. He served as an Executive Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing of Apollo Group Inc. and its Vice President of Marketing since June 2006. He served as Regional Vice President of University of Phoenix and Division Director of the University's Axia College and School of Advanced Studies. He held several positions with the Concordia University System from 1983 to 2002 and served as its Director for Education Network. He holds both a Doctor of Education degree in Institutional Management and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Concordia University, Nebraska.
