Harris Teeter Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

When a member of management or the Store Manager gives compliments and thank you for my hard work.

The Customer's! and some of the co-workers and Managers.

Talking and interacting with some of the customers

My interaction with my customers and showing that I care about their shopping experience whether I am on or off the clock a d yes Harris Teeter, I have helped numerous people off the clock whether shopping or just not on the clock yet

Turning out a high quality product

Making a difference in customers and co workers lives. Service to others is so rewarding. Some are like second family to me.

I love customer service and working in the deli at my store allows me to serve the people

Being recognized for extraordinary effort

Review from Operations Dept

I'm not subjected to corporate politics.

The rewarding feeling that the results that I put out are reflective to how hard I work for them.

They love the friendliness but not the lack of cashier's especially on Thursdays

The moral of hour team

Completing tasks and helping friendly customers.

Healthy work place with staff and customers.

Review from Product Dept

The support I get from everyone when I say I want to move up in the company

Talking woth customers and growing relationships.

Working with people who are great supervisors and co-workers. The team work.

The customers and a good handful of co-workers.

Fun and enjoyable, everyone is a team member

When having a good team that works as one and helps each other

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

the company needs to invest in its stores and its staffing

Teamwork and a more inviting environment where everyone feels a part of it and included.

Make employees work not stand around.

Fix the numbers and overnight should get payed more money we make store look great so your walk in customers at 6am have nice clean stocked store to shop in

Since new manager came on board hours have been gutted to death. I have watched front end go to massuve confusion and long lines on senior day, to where the seniors arent even coming in anymore even though we are next to a huge retirement spartment complex.

Management issues not being resolved

Communication. Better staff and hands on training for cashiers..

Hire people. Make benefits better. Pay people more. Make it a good place to work. Make it a place people want to be when they work.

Everything is wrong fire management and his more overnight employees

The Pay, employee treatment, Lying from upper management

I told already TRAININGS before managers had training now they don't know anything

Good people are quitting because long time coworkers are rude and disrespectful.

Stop punishing loyal employees. 15/10/5 year employees shouldn't make the same as a 1 month PT employee. Stop patronizing. Stop issuing store walks & audits during pandemics. Stop spraying mistery chemicals on us. Stop hiring upper mgmt that doesn't know what POG stands for or what a force out is

Front end manger and some leads their attitude ans how they treat each other. Singling other employees out picking on them. Managers that will not listen to your availability or request to be transferred out of certain departments

Review from Customer Support Dept

Major changes in corporate structure, more empathetic store managers, managers and higher ups who arent afraid of getting their hands dirty

Too much to list but the comoany has no clue what world class customer service means.

Management does not appreciate good and dedicated employees. Management needs to stop allowing the personal opinions of negative employees to determine how they manage; and to further improve how things work, management needs to stop harassing and discriminating against people of color.

I am not getting any hours

Review from Sales Dept

Give us the equipment necessary to do our job. We have one (1) computer, one (1) phone, NO printer/copier (the one we use is at the back of the store), and one (1) check out dedicated to Express Lane. We need more of everything. The way this is set up, we are bound to fail.

Review from Operations Dept

What do you like best about your company?

Profit share incentive although they use it as a threatening device and hold it over your head.

Review from Sales Dept

What would you most like to see improved at your company?

Human rights and value given to associates.
