Slow business and wasted time working for a male dominated ego driven company. Moving on was the best advancement to my career and leaving Havertys off my resume. The company has financial issues due to poor management and corporate.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Havertys needs to pay on written business not delivered since they clearly have lots of problems in the warehouse delivering damaged and repaired merchandise.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Scripted interview with manager that acted like she was untrained and not very bright. Poor management is the first impression a new employee and customers see.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Everything from training to commission. Respect employees who work hard to make company profits. A lot of back stabbing and favoritism. Need better qualified managers at most locations.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Lack of products in stock. Sales staff only get paid when products are delivered. Months struggling with bills due to low pay. Pay on written not delivered. Replace good old boys who forgot how to effectively run a profitable business.
