iHeartRadio FAQs

iHeartRadio uses push notifications to alert you about new music, stations, shows you like, iHeartRadio concerts, contests, and major news or weather events. You can disable notifications you receive on Android for iHeartRadio by following the steps below:

Open iHeartRadio

Tap the gear icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen

Tap the gear icon in the top left corner of the screen

Tap My Account

Under Push notifications, swipe from right to left on the switch to turn push notifications off

If you're using an Apple Watch device running WatchOS 5 or 6 you can use the Now Playing app to control iHeartRadio on your mobile device from your Apple Watch.

If the app is stopping when your phone's screen goes dark/turns off/goes to sleep, it is likely an Android level setting which is designed to save battery life. In order to find an turn this setting off, please follow the steps below:

- Go to phone settings- Go to Device Care- Select Battery- Find and select iHeartRadio- Disable "Put app to sleep"

If that doesn't work or is already off, please try the following steps:- Go to phone settings- Go to Apps- Select iHeartRadio- Select Optimize Battery Usage- Search for iHeartRadio and disable

With the launch of iOS 13 all of iHeartRadio's great Live radio stations are going to be available through Apple Music on devices running iOS 10 and higher! You can say, Hey Siri, play [station name] to access your favorite Live iHeartRadio stations.

You can also enjoy these stations on your HomePod and through vehicles with Apple CarPlay.

To hide a station or story on the iHeartRadio Family app follow the directions below.

Open iHeartRadio Family app

Select the station or story you'd like to hide

Tap Hide This Story or Stationlocated onthe top right corner of the screen

The Age Gate will appear. This will show a one time code and number pad to allow you to hide a station or story

Please note:If the wrong input is entered, the input field will clear out. If no input is entered, modal disappears after 7 seconds of idle time and music or story will resume

For greater control over the content inside the app visit the Parental Permissions screen where you can manage the visibility of all the content offered on the iHeartRadio Family app.

To visit the Parent Permissions screen follow the directions below.

Open iHeartRadio Family app

Select the Settings or Gear iconlocated on the top right corner of the screen

The Age Gate will appear. This will show a one time code and number pad to allow you to manage all the content offered.

The Toyota Entune App Suite, which includes the iHeartRadio application, is available on select Toyota models and multimedia systems. Depending on your vehicle type and model year, there are a variety of multimedia systems that are compatible with the Entune App Suite. Please look up your vehicle model with the Entune Lineup tool to see if your system is compatible.

Once you have verified that your multimedia system is compatible, please follow the instructions and videos below to set up and launch the iHeartRadio application.

If you need to cancel your iHeartRadio Plus or All Access subscription you can follow the procedure below. Please follow the procedure based on the device you were logged into when you subscribed:

If instead, you'd just like to switch your subscription from iHeartRadio All Access to iHeartRadio Plus, please follow the instructions in this article. Visit iHeart.com on your mobile or desktop browser.

Log into your account by clicking the three horizontal lines in the left corner of the screen on mobile or by clicking the icon of a face in the upper right hand corner of the screen on your desktop or laptop computer.

Next visit Settings

Under Subscriptions select Change Plan

Select Cancel Subscription from the menu that appears

Youll be asked to confirm your cancellation

You will see a confirmation message appear indicating when your subscription will expire.

If you signed up through iTunes or iOS App store on an iPhone or Pad: On a iPad / iPhone

Start at your Home screen.

Tap Settings here

Tap on iTunes & App Store.

Select your Apple ID at the top.

Ensure this Apple ID is the one you used to sign up for your iHeartRadio subscription.

Please note: Your Apple ID may be different from the email address associated with your iHeartRadio account.

Tap View Apple ID from the popup menu.

Enter your password.

If prompted select Okay.

Tap on the Subscriptions section

Tap on iHeartRadio.

Turn the Auto-Renewal option to Off. Or, you may need to tap Cancel Subscription

On a desktop / laptop computer

Open iTunes.

From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account.

Next, select View My Account.

Enter the password associated with your Apple ID if prompted.

Ensure this Apple ID is the one you used to sign up for your iHeartRadio subscription.

Please note: Your Apple ID may be different than the email address associated with your iHeartRadio account.

On the Account Information page scroll to the Settings section.

To the right of Subscriptions, Click Manage.

Find iHeartRadio and click Edit.

Click Cancel Subscription to cancel your subscription.

Launch the Google Play Store app.

Ensure you are logged into the Google Play account you used to sign up for your iHeartRadio subscription.

Tap Menu and select Account.

Next, tap Subscriptions and select iHeartRadio.

Tap Cancel.

On a desktop / laptop computer

Go to play.google.com/store/account.

Ensure you are logged into the Google Play account you used to sign up for your iHeartRadio subscription.

Find iHeartRadio under Subscriptions.

Click View.

On the app page select Cancel.

If you signed up through the Amazon App Store on an Amazon Device: On your Kindle or Amazon Fire Phone

Launch the Amazon App Store app.

Ensure you are logged into the Amazon account you used to sign up for your iHeartRadio subscription.

Tap the Menu button in the upper left hand corner and select Subscriptions.

Next to iHeartRadio tap Manage.

Un-check the box next to Auto-renew this subscription.

Tap Save.

If you signed up on a Roku: On your Roku

1. Press the Home button home on your Roku remote.

2. Locate and access options for a subscription channel in one of the following ways:

A. From your channel lineup

SelectHome.

Use the arrow buttons on your remote to highlight a subscription channel.

Press theStarbuttonon your remote.

B. From the Channel Store

Scroll down and selectStreaming Channels.

Browse a category or genre, or search for a subscription channel.

Press theOKbuttonon your remote.

3. Once you access options, selectManage subscriptionto view the renewal date and access additional options.

4. To unsubscribe, selectCancel subscription. Confirm by choosing to remove the channel immediately or keep it for the remainder of the subscription term.

On a desktop / laptop computer

Go to my.roku.com on your computer or smartphone.

If prompted, sign in to your Roku account.

Click onManage your subscriptions.

When the My subscriptions page loads, you will find all your channel subscriptions that get billed by Roku, along with terms, status, and renewal date of each subscription. Subscriptions that were purchased directly from the service provider or otherwise purchased outside of the Roku Channel Store will not be listed here.

Find iHeartRadio and selectUnsubscribe.

To delete a station, on your iPhone or iPad, please follow the procedure below:

Within the iHeartRadio app tap the Your Libraryicon.

If you don't see the station you want to remove on this page, you may need to tap See All Saved Stations.

Tap the three dots to the right of the station logo.

Tap Remove Station to delete this station from your saved stations.

To delete Recently Played stations, visit theYour Librarytab. Under Recently Played find the station that youd like to remove. Click the three dots on the top right of the station logo. ClickRemove and the station will be removed from your recently played stations.

iHeartRadio listeners on iOS mobile devices running iOS version 12 or higher can use Siri shortcuts to access iHeartRadio! You can create custom shortcuts to launch stations or podcasts. Once a Siri shortcut has been recorded, you can use Siri to launch the selected content on the iHeartRadio app.

Adding Siri Shortcuts

To create Siri shortcuts from within the iHeartRadio app:

Play a station or podcast using search or directly from Your Library.

While the player is in full-screen mode, tap the 3 dots on the station or podcast you wish to add as a shortcut.

Select Add to Siri.

You will be prompted to record a personalized phrase.

You can say the suggested prompt or record something unique. Ex: Play Z100, Play Ari Lenox Radio, etc.

Save by tapping Done.

Note: You can also add a Siri shortcut using the three dots overflow menu that appears on a station or podcast anywhere in the app.

Edit Siri Shortcuts

Tap the gear icon in the upper left-hand corner.

On this page select Siri shortcuts.

Select the shortcut you wish to edit.

Here you will have the option to re-record your shortcut phrase or to delete the shortcut.

My Favorites Radio is a single station unique to you that constantly evolves with your live and custom listening across iHeartRadio. It contains songsyou'vethumbed up, artistsyou'vefavorited, and artists/tracksyou'vecreated stations on. The more you interact with iHeartRadio, the better My Favorites Radio will get. Get more information on how to make your My Favorites Radio fit your musical tastes even better.

To change the name of your My Favorites Radio station, you will need to visit your My Favorites Radio page from a desktop or laptop computer. Once you access this page, you will see a pencil icon next to the station name. Simply click on the pencil icon to edit the station name.

iHeartRadio allows 6 skips per hour per station, for up to 15 skips per day across all Artist Stations.

Unlimited skips on Artist stations are available with iHeartRadio Plus and All Access.

Select Remove to remove from your Favorites

Please note that removing a station won't remove it from the suggestions on the home screen. As you listen to more stations the suggestions will change to reflect your new tastes.

To delete a podcast episode, on youriPhoneoriPad, please follow the procedure below:

Within the iHeartRadio app tap thePodcastsicon.

Select Your Podcasts located on the top right.

Scroll to the episode you wish to delete.

Tap the three dots to the right of the episode.

TapDeleteto remove the episode from your saved episodes.

To Delete all downloaded episodes please follow the procedure below:

Within the iHeartRadio app tap thePodcastsicon.

Select Your Podcasts located on the top right.

TapEdit.

Select all the episodes you wish to remove.

TapDeleteto remove all saved episode selected.

Confirm you would like to delete your downloaded episodes.

To delete a podcast episode, on yourAndroid, please follow the procedure below:

Within the iHeartRadio app tap thePodcastsicon.

Select Your Podcasts located on the top right.

Scroll to the episode you wish to delete.

Tap the three dots to the right of the episode.

TapDeleteto remove the episode from your saved episodes.

To Delete all downloaded episodes please follow the procedure below:

Within the iHeartRadio app tap thePodcastsicon.

Select Your Podcasts located on the top right.

TapEdit.

Select all the episodes you wish to remove.

Tap the Trash icon located on the top right.

Confirm you would like to delete your downloaded episodes.

Tap the episode's overflow button and select Download Episode. A blue arrow will appear once the episode is available to play offline.

All of your downloaded episodes are conveniently located under "Your Podcasts"on the Podcasts tab where you can listen without needing a data connection.

To view the Lyrics of the song you're listening to, hover over the three-dot menu button on the Music Player on the bottom of your screen and click on Lyrics **Note:this will only be visible if iHeartRadio has lyrics to this song

To view anArtist Bio, follow these steps:

Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for a specific artist

Click on the artist's name and then scroll to the bottom of their artist profile to find their Artist Bio

If the whole Artist Bio isn't showing, click on "Read more".

To add another family member to your plan simply click the '+' icon, enter the family member's email address, hitSend Inviteand you're all set! This secondary family plan member will show as pending until they accept the invite sent to the email address you have provided.

Once this invite is sent, the secondary Family Plan member will show as pending until they accept the invitation. If they cannot find their invitation in their email inbox, you can always resend the invite.

Removing Family Members

To remove a family member from your iHeartRadio Family Plan all you need to do is find the individual you would like to remove and hitRemove Member. This individual will no longer be part of your iHeartRadio Family plan.

Note:Only the individual who initially signed up for iHeartRadio's Family Plan, and is paying for the subscription can add or remove individuals from the Family Plan.

To access your account settings hover over your name in the top right and select Settings. If you want to edit the account settings on a mobile device go to the settings in the app.

On the Settings page on iHeartRadio.com, you can update your account password, email address (by clicking the pencil icon), subscription, sharing settings, connection to Facebook and Google accounts, genre preferences, and view your billing history if you signed up for iHeartRadio All Access or Plus.

If you see any of these messages (missing access token, invalid access token, expired access token)when trying to change your password, it means the link has expired and you will need to request a new password reset by visiting i HeartRadio.com/reset.

Disable Ad Block

Some Ad Block add-ons or extensions might impact your listening experience on the iHeartRadio website. If you're having issues listening or browsing please try disabling your Ad Block add-on or extension.

If you're having trouble streaming iHeartRadio on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, try these steps:

Power down your phone for 30 seconds, often this will correct most issues.

Check the App Store for the latest version of iHeartRadio. If theres an updated version of the app available, itll be listed in the Update tab of the App Store.

Check your network connection. Try streaming a video or opening a website in your phones browser. If youre not able to connect, chances are your connection is too weak to stream on iHeartRadio. Try connecting over WiFi until you change locations.

If youre still having trouble listening to iHeartRadio, try deleting and reinstalling the app. Often times a fresh installation will fix any issues.

iHeartRadio uses push notifications to alert you about new music, stations and shows you like, iHeartRadio concerts, contests, and major news and weather events. You can disable notifications you receive on your iPhone or iPad by following the steps below:

Open iHeartRadio

Tap the gear iconin the top left corner of the screen

UnderSettings, you will see Push Notifications.

Toggle Push Notifications (white is disabled) to disable all Push Notifications

To exit the iHeartRadio app on iOS 7 or later, please follow the steps below:

Tap theHomebutton two times quickly to bring up all apps running in the background.

Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close.

Swipe up on the app's preview screen to close it.
