IKEA has gone through multiple re-organizations in the past 5+ years that have decimated the competency across the organization from the front line coworkers through country mgt teams. Its coasting on its land bank but has shown little growth compared to the growth that happened between 1970-2010.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They need to understand how they've created an environment where coworkers loathe coming to work because they don't feel supported and have watched too many colleagues be handed severance. The remaining team can not sustain what a far larger organization used to. Decisions aren't based in reality.
