What is the onboarding process like at IKEA and how long does it last?
I don't remember there being anything different from many other companies. This was back in 2016 in California, I was required to take a drug test (saliva based) which the sample was taken by the HR person, I had to turn in my documents and provide proof of citizenship.

How's the morale at IKEA?
When walking into the employee locker room on a weekend you can hear grunts, ugh, and co-workers wondering if they have to go back into the store. Not enough employees are scheduled for the weekend crowds or on holidays/events. There were few days I dreaded going to work, but it was extremely draining. It's a typical retail job with long hours and customers with ridiculous questions/demands that you have to try your best to satisfy. Overall co-worker morale was medium to high because we work together as a team, but some days are worse than others.

How does IKEA measure success and growth in the Design department?
IKEA's new organization is a shit show. Benefits, hours and positions are being cut. There is no future for growth at a company that is looking to cut salaries.
