I honestly love my job. I try my best to demonstrate a positive outlook at most times. Yes, we deal with a number of challenges (but which company doesn't?). I am happy to have a manager that I respect. I just need to get to that place where I can achieve that work/life balance we should all enjoy.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are all committed to doing a great job; accuracy is important to us and we work hard to ensure we keep errors to a minimum and follow company policies and procedures. Most importantly we work well together and like each other.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I believe the Diversity & Inclusion employee forum hosted by our HR team is the most positive. This is where we have a safe space to share our perspectives and discuss various topics like health & wellness, racial equality and fair treatment, charity and other community outreach initiatives.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I am satisfied with my base salary, and the extra annual bonus is indeed a plus. Although we are encouraged to take vacation, when you return you have to catch up and complete all the work missed while you were away. Our medical benefits are too expensive and the plans offered can be enhanced.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love what I do and take pride in my work. I am happiest when I solve a problem that was presented to me and can respond with the solution. I enjoy interacting with my team and other coworkers, brainstorming to solve a problem or taking a few minutes for a personal conversation with someone.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Two things come to mind: (1) I believe the leadership team is focused on keeping the company relevant and working to ensure our products and services are among the best. (2) Within the last year we have seen a shift in employee engagement from an HR perspective to ensure our employees are happy.
