Jackson Hewitt Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I dont know because I havent made myself aware because at the time I didnt need it. Now I am out of work and need it.

I'm not sure what my compensations are

I actually am not sure what all it entails.

Review from Customer Success Dept

No benefits at all. Not happy

Well priced benefits for families

I love everything about the job

No seasonal worker no benefits

Great benefits and unlimited pto-let's you have a nice work/life balance

Review from Admin Dept

Salary and bonus percentage are decent

I love that we bonus. It puts us in control of our income so to speak. We work harder to get to higher levels. The hourly wage is nice but the bonus is where the money is. I would however start the bonuses at a lower amount of returns. There are some stores that cannot meet the goals.

Review from Operations Dept

Commissions and hourly pay to do taxes

Review from Admin Dept

You get paid overtime and you get a bonus at the end of the tax season

Review from Admin Dept

I don't have a compensation package.

Review from Admin Dept

There isn't a benefits package for seasonal workers. We make "bonuses" depending on levels of production. Also, there are occasional quick contests to earn goods.

non competitive wage extra pay

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The work isnt easy and the rates to clients are high. Employees should make a little more i think

The pay rate should be more having to deal with customers and during a pandemic.

Minimum wage is not en for such a responsibility

Review from Customer Success Dept

Was more interested in learning tax prep and not as concerned about compensation

Would like to know more about the benefits and stocks

Everything it the worst pay

Paying a bilingual employee with a Masters degree less than $15 an hour is shameful in any job market.

I'm seasonal therefore I'm not entitled to benefits.

Benefits are great except for their maternity leave

Acknowledgement...not treating others like they dont matter

Review from Customer Support Dept

5 times over 3 years my immediate supervisors left the company and I was expected to do the work but was never recognized or compensated for the extra responsibilities. Recognition and advancement is based more on WHO you know (and are friends with) rather than on WHAT you know.

Review from Operations Dept

I feel that the work is too much and getting pushed to do the work faster with terrible feedback is not good for this company

I would feel better if I was compensated correctly and also was able to have a stronger yearly status instead of seasonal status.

Review from Customer Support Dept

If my boss would acknowledge our hard work.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Compared to price charged to customer someone is getting rich and its not me.

Review from Admin Dept

They do not care about helping us to be well trained to do a better job.

Review from Operations Dept

No benefits and rarely raises are given

Review from Customer Support Dept

I feel as though I was very undervalued due to my age and was treated unfairly due to my age. The company works you to the bone and then has the control of letting you go with no notice and can keep your bonus even if you have already earned it. Very sneaky and conniving in cheating people.

Review from Operations Dept

they pick their favorites and let their office shine while other offices have to struggle.

Review from Admin Dept

Tax preparers appear to be the scapegoat for higher level employees and the IRS. I would feel appreciated with more pay and more education, along with seniority or loyalty benefits (ie. 401k, health, guaranteed bonuses, vacation, etc.) after working for Jackson Hewitt for a 5yrs or more.
