i only got a .25 cent raise every year. during the pandemic, we were given a $2 raise. so i would work for $10 an hour. which was decent. Then it was taken away. When I left, I was getting $8.50 an hour after there for five years.. My last paycheck was under $200 with all the hour cut backs
You get an "anniversary raise" each year, of 20-25 cents, but when the minimum wage goes up, if the new minimum is more than you are making, you only go up to the minimum, in effect losing all your "loyalty/anniversary" raises, so in CA where the minimum has gone up every year, long time employees are still getting the same wage as new hires with no experience.
I haven’t had a raise in five years. Once you hit the wage-cap for your position, you’re stuck.
Once a year and it’s literally like less than a quarter for hourly employees.
