Lithia Motors Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

The old general manager looked at me as a human being the new general manager looked at me as just a person to get the work done which I think he validated my rights as a human being as a citizen of the United States and my rights to work here

What I liked most about the interview process was that everything seemed straightforward and clear at the time. However, the reality of the job has not fully matched what was presented.

Review from Sales Dept

Everyone was nice and was very good at pretending they were professionals

Review from Product Dept

It was very relaxed and felt more like a conversation than an interview

Review from HR Dept

they get to the heart of the expectations

It was and efficient. I appreciated knowing how the process works.

Review from Admin Dept

That he was totally honest with me

The overall hiring process was fairly easy and quick. I didn't run into any problems with submitted employment information. My old manager was very easy going and helped me out with getting started.

It was 6 1/2 years ago... i remember them trying to low ball my wage the most... refused

Really no longer relevant since I was hired before Lithia took over

The manager that interviewed me was open

Review from Admin Dept

nothing really except it takes for ever

Interview was great. But I am very upset and need to speak with HR immediately.

Positive vibes from manager giving interview

THE Honesty policy and WORKING KNOWLEDGE of the Car Dealership and community

Looking on you face to face instead or resume

Review from Admin Dept

Both parties get to know expectations and level of experience

Review from Operations Dept

I only had two interviews

Review from HR Dept

The interview process was easy. They didn't care about my life or anything about me or about my goals. Just seemed like they were looking for anybody to fill the shoes

Being able to negotiate a fair pay rate.

Review from Operations Dept

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

The interview process was easy.

must be by more than just one person

Review from Sales Dept

More management training on hiring employees

Review from Sales Dept

I wish i was told more about the job and what a mess it was. So much has gaooened at the store no ine sees red flags

The time it takes to hire

I would make it alot quicker to hire someone

The interview process should include goals of the individual and show that they care about their success. I care about succeeding as a team but to be a part of a company who doesn't care, I would not work there

The interview process was simple however it's important to know the goals and ambitions of an employee for a successful team because if my goal is to succeed and be a success and the supervisor doesn't care then I shouldn't work there

Understand what is legal and not in interview questions

dont lie to people about their future

Maybe be truthful about your job.

Do more investigations on prospects and stop lying to new hires about pay.

Every interview I sat in on I was told to wait for an hour before anybody would talk to me. If my interview is scheduled at 11 o'clock the first person I spoke to was at 12 o'clock disgraceful

Stop with the testing. I worked with several employees that "tested very high" according to my GM. Neither one lasted 2 months.

My manager made me wait 1+ hours both times I interviewed. I am the top producing sales person and I was treated poorly. My GM thought it was funny to always mention my age in meetings. He could not make fun of my production but had no problem making fun of my age.

It was a 3 hour interview with 1.5 hours of waiting.

too many people, not a single contact person to go to. way too many internet logons. and no one to contact after hire

Have a different manager in place

not lying about how they will be treated

Ask appropriate questions to candidates instead of hiring them because they are related to someone else that works there.
