Mr. John Hopmans has been Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Finance at Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. since April 2008. Mr. Hopmans oversees Live Nation Entertainment's merger and acquisition activities and focuses on strategic finance options as it continues to develop additional revenue streams around its core business of live music. He served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. He has led a team of merger and acquisition specialists controlling all M&A activity at Live Nation. His deals include Live Nation's merger with Ticketmaster, the acquisition of premier EDM festivals Insomniac, HARDfest and Creamfields, ticketing companies Ticketnet and ServiCaixa and many others. He is a 20-year veteran of the banking and finance community. Since 1991, he served as Managing Director, Industry Head, Private Equity Sponsor Coverage at Scotia Capital in New York, where he led a team of professionals with national coverage responsibility for U.S. financial buyers. Since 1991, he served as Managing Director, Industry Head, Diversified Industries where he led a regional coverage team and Senior Relationship Manager, Real Estate Banking heading Scotia Capital's real estate workout team in New York. Mr. Hopmans holds MBA from University of San Diego and BA from University of Guelph.
