They are "one of us". No special carve out - same benefits, same bonus structure, often involved in client deliverables.

Zero out of pocket, combined with deep coverage!
Lone Star's benefits are superb. They benchmark the benefits and provide the results each year. They include some things most firms don't even offer but Lone Star pays for them.
Rich medical, dental and vision fully company paid, even dependents. 401k match is far above normal.
They deposit money into my HSA bank account to help offset the cost of the HDHP deductible.

There is a minimum of politics
Everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves and do what must be done. Very collaborative.
My team is amazing. We are like a family and work so well together!

Fun, energetic, loads of employee "fun" activities, and topped off with a policy of "Zero Jerk Factor." In other words, no jerks are allowed to work here.
Flexibility is allowed as much as a job will support
Flexible PTO and WFH with troops first mentality and very family friendly.
We actually have people that care about each other and the work we do.

It wasn't a long, drawn out process. They cut to it... phone screen, interview with boss, interview with main stakeholder, and done. Knew their decision quickly.
Somewhat challenging, but consistent with the hunt for good people. Most interviews expose candidates to several people, so everyone has a good sense of each other.
Very personable, not cookie cutter.
Candidates get to showcase their capabilities and it helps us make a more informed decision.
It was concise and targeted. Not a lot of "extra" just for the sake of extra. I met with key stakeholders and that was it. Decision made and off we went.
