Aamir M. Hussain — Executive VP & CTO at Lumen (formerly CenturyLink)

Mr. Aamir M. Hussain has been Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of CenturyLink, Inc. since October 27, 2014. Mr. Hussain served as Executive Vice President of Product Development, Platforms & Infrastructure at CenturyLink, Inc. since June 2017. Mr. Hussain was responsible for design and delivery of next generation products, services and technologies critical to achieve CenturyLink strategic growth priorities. Mr. Hussain plays a key leadership role in automating and scaling CenturyLink's strategic products, creating a seamless customer experience, optimizing service delivery and rationalizing company platforms and technologies. Mr. Hussain served as the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Covad Communications Company. Mr. Hussein served as Vice President of National Planning, Engineering and Capital Management at Telus and held senior posts at Qwest Communications, AT&T, Samsung Telecommunications. Mr. Hussain served at Netherlands as Liberty Global's Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer for Europe and led the development of several next generation video and broadband solutions, along with mobile network solutions across the European cable footprint. He held other leadership and technology design roles throughout his career at BellSouth and Motorola. He has been a Director of Espial Group Inc., since June 13, 2017. He has completed business, telecom and strategy training at Harvard Business School and Insead in France. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He has a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
