I AM RETIRED FOR SOMETIME
Customer service! and have a human being answer the phone when there is trouble!!! Two hours to get a live person is awful! There are over 100 phones out and we couldn't get in personal touch w/you. Only when we called that we had a business line out did we get a live person.
Hr doesn't help new ways to save money all about taking from the workers
Loyalty to customers. Remember they are reason you're in business.

Paying 25 perc of medical when can get a ca cheaper than at work and better insurance dropped family and enroll in a ca to save money
I don't get paid enough to deal with all these incompetent call centers most of my day is spent on phone fixing their errors instead of job

Local managers 1st, 2nd & 3rd need to follow the corporate values.
Customers are being taken advantage of to help call center employees with their metrics instead of fixing customer issues.

Fiber and internet growing. Telephone side is hard hit.
ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!! Spent time with two techs. The last one changed wires in my telephone jack and gave me a green cable to plug from the jack to my DSL modem. BUT before he left he told me to take that cable to a store and buy a 15' Cat 5 cable to replace it. BUT my IT guy says they don't exist so if I need one can someone send me one? Change the management that has been there a long time. They are very clickish and are not very accepting and welcoming of new people.
Middle management needs to stop micro managing. There is never any recognition for sales. Terrible environment

They use metrics to threaten your job that as a tech You have little to no control over.They don't care at all about the customer and it has destroyed the morale with the employees. The ONLY good thing about centurylink/Lumen is the Pay is good

What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Lumen (formerly CenturyLink)?
Extremely low customer service ratings.
How horrible the comp plan was, how support staff and the back office treat sales like second class citizens and how product managers keep getting promoted when their product fails. Also wish I knew that Offer Management was quick to cut commissions if you needed to get competitive on a deal, even when we were 25% higher than everyone else.

It's high pressure if you care about customers. If not, then you will not feel any pressure as you deliver your customer terrible products and services.
It can be, and it's because the higher ups have either made it that way or allowed it to become that way. It could be a great place to work, and it used to be.

N/A. They are non-existent. No company picnics, or even Christmas parties anymore.
Majority of them have been cut. Last work outing I attended was four years ago.
