I AM RETIRED FOR SOMETIME
Customer service! and have a human being answer the phone when there is trouble!!! Two hours to get a live person is awful! There are over 100 phones out and we couldn't get in personal touch w/you. Only when we called that we had a business line out did we get a live person.
Hr doesn't help new ways to save money all about taking from the workers

CenturyLink reduced the sales quota but due to lack of investment and vision and increased competition from cables companies morale is low with most agents reporting reduced income and increased pressure to perform.

Everyone hates it here. They are driving the phone company into the ground and the plant is falling apart.

Not difficult at all.
Not easy. You get beat up on by customers, are beaten up to get reports and training completed, while having to project manage your own deals.
It's not difficult if you can keep from getting depressed. I have now gotten depressed with extreme anxiety so I had to get on medication that has hindered my social life quite a bit.

They do for residential services

20 years service earns me 4 weeks vacation and 8 personal days per year. Pretty good policy.
many positions were put to a "flexible time off" rather than earned vacation this year. This means we aren't required to take vacation and have none if we are laid off. I don't like this policy

Takes too long!
Depends on the position usually 2 part interviews and an assessment after the first interview.
there is none, Centurylink is doing away with internal employees, wants to only have contractors working for them.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at Lumen (formerly CenturyLink)?
Everything=customer service, leaves, better training, Better test equipment, bring jobs back to the states and get rid of the contactors and
Customer service is not, but needs to be a priority. If you take care of the customers, the finances will take care of themselves.
Stop coming up with new policies every dam day, all policies have been tried many times

If the company do a serious investment to upgrade most service areas to fiber, future should be bright. CenturyLink acquire Level 3 to expand fiber service areas but still less than 10% of total service areas.

40-60 hours a week, the team keeps to themselves not much in the way of community
70 to 80 hrs per week and your co-workers will through you under the bus at the drop of a hat

Candidates need to apply and be ready for more than one round of interviews.
manager must advocate and make case for employee and there must be need for this position. Promotions without an opening are nearly impossible no matter how much you deserve
Like most companies....they provide you the support and tools to be successful and you need to show initiative and drive to make your projects reality. You are rewarded personally for this but your success is compounded with others on your team are what lead to promotions. Individual strength is valued but team strengths are of more value to become a leader in the corporation.
