Kevin McCarter — President of Eastern Region at Lumen (formerly CenturyLink)

Mr. Kevin McCarter has been President of The Central Region at CenturyLink, Inc. since March 7, 2013 and served as its Vice President and General Manager. In this new role, Mr. McCarter have responsibility for the CenturyLink's operational, financial, and customer experience performance throughout the region. As the region's highest-ranking executive, he oversee a wide range of employees, including six market-level vice President and general managers. He joined United Telephone Company of Florida in February 1988 as a management trainee and has held positions of increasing responsibility at Sprint, Embarq and CenturyLink. His career has included leadership roles in network engineering, customer service, and field operations. Mr. McCarter has been responsible for all aspects of operations and retail sales for central and eastern North Carolina, including product and service installation and repair, sales and service, retail operations, marketing and public affairs. He was also responsible for managing the successful launch of CenturyLink Prism TV in the North Carolina market. Mr. McCarter received his degree in business management with an emphasis in information systems management from Florida State University.
