Mr. Vernon L. Irvin serves as President of LGMS at CenturyLink, Inc. and served as President - SMB since June 2017. Mr. Irvin served as Vice President of Sales for Business Solutions Group at CenturyLink, Inc. since March 2014. Mr. Irvin served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Virtual World Computing, LLC since October 2011. He served as the President and Chief Executive of Brand Asset Digital, LLC since October 2009. He served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Marketing of XM Satellite Radio, Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. since November 14, 2006. He oversaw XM's strategic marketing efforts including media and brand marketing retail, direct and partnership marketing and marketing operations from service offerings and pricing to retention and market research. From 2001 to 2003, he served as an Executive Vice President of Communications, Media and Entertainment for CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. He served as an Executive Vice President of Communications Services of Verisign Inc., from June 2003 to 2006 and served as its General Manager of Communications Services, from 2003 to 2006. He transformed the VeriSign global communications practice into the industry leader in Intelligent Communications, Commerce and Content services that provide rich and seamless interactions for global network operators, on-line portals, media companies and consumer brands. He driven the communications division's global strategic development, high-growth initiatives, sales and marketing, product management and network operations. As part of an aggressive growth strategy, he has acquired and integrated numerous companies into the VCS division, rapidly expanding the VCS solutions portfolio. Major acquisitions have included Jamba AG, LightSurf, CallVision, mQube and 3united; and under his direction, VCS has received numerous external industry awards for leadership and innovation. He served as an Executive Vice President of CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. since February 2002. From May 1999 to February 2002, he served as a Founding Manager and President of BT Ignite. From 1999 to February 2000, he served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Internet of B.T. Worldwide. He served as an Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy of e.spire Communications. He serves as the International Chairman of the University of Southern California's Center of Telecom Management Board, which is devoted to research and education for the networked digital industry and its customers. He serves as a Board Member of the William and Mary School of Business and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley. He serves on the Board of Directors of CTIA - The Wireless Association. He served as a Director of VeriSign Inc., since December 13, 2005. He serves as a Director of United States Telecom Association. Mr. Irvin holds a B.S. degree in Information Systems from University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
